Эсхатологические сюжеты в пьесах современных драматургов: О. Богаев, Бр. Пресняковы

Abstract

Focusing on the plays by O. Bogaev and the Presnyakov brothers, the article considers the "end of history" plot entrenched in the "New Drama". The modes of "modeling the catastrophe" are connected, in the first place, to the authors turning to the cyclical model of time that varies the motif of "eternal recurrence", "progressive degradation". The apocalypse is seen by these playwrights as having already taken place. However, the situation of the realized end of the world is appraised by the authors in different ways.
