Вербальный портрет 2019 года через призму года 2020-го

Abstract

The article conducts a sociolinguistic analysis of social prerequisites of the lexical units nominated as “Words of the Year 2019” and their axiological characteristics realized in discourse and explores the change of the social context, which influences the linguistic consciousness. The task to describe 2019 nominations through the lens of 2020 makes it possible to discover the significance and urgency of the phenomena they represent in society today. In spite of the fact that the “Words of the Year” projects nominates lexemes of the current year, their real significance becomes salient only at a distance. It is an important characteristic that allows seeing the real urgency of a word. The study of the nominations in the context of the social situation of 2020 makes it possible to reveal the significance of the given lexemes in the social environ-ment, which, in its turn, testifies to the variability of the linguistic consciousness and the worldview.

В статье в социолингвистическом аспекте анализируются социальные предпосылки номинаций, получивших статус "слово года", их аксиологические характеристики, реализуемые в политическом дискурсе.
