Метафора как средство речевого воздействия в жанре "политическая email-рассылка"

Abstract

В статье рассматриваются метафорические модели и особенности их функционирования в жанре "политическая email-рассылка" в период предвыборных кампаний 2016-2022 гг. в США.

The election campaigns of the last decades are known for their massive shifts to the sphere of virtual communication. This tendency leads to the need for searching effective means of establishing contact with each voter under the circumstances of mediated communication to exercise further manipulative, suggestive and persuasive influence on them. The article examines metaphor as one of the main tools of verbal manipulation in the genre of political e-mailing. The theoretical foundation of the study rests on the conceptual metaphor theory. The aim of the research is to identify the metaphorical models and the specificity of their functioning in the genre of political e-mailing.
