Анализ лингвокультурных концептов в политическом дискурсе В. В. Путина

Abstract

The image of any politician, and specifically V. V. Putin, is considerably influenced by public speeches, due to which they attract the attention of linguists. The article interprets political discourse as a set of speech acts of a politician or genre. Such wide scale media events of 2008-2018 as Presidential Hotline, Presidential Address to the Federal Assembly, large annual press-conferences for international and domestic mass media, as well as "Talk with Vladimir Putin", served as material for the given study. The author highlights the stability of the main features of the politician's rhetoric irrespective of his official position (President or Head of Government). The Presidential Hotline became the main venue of presenting his views to the public at large - a new genre of the Russian political discourse introduced by V. V. Putin. Spatial linguocultural concepts occupy an especially important place in V. V. Putin's speeches, and the general name of the country - Russia - takes the lead.
