Информационная война: лингвистические вопросы формирования и структурирования терминологической системы

Abstract

The article deals with analysis of terminological units denoting «information wars". After the appear-ance of this phenomenon in the broad scientific discourse, the tendency to expand the scope of the notion by including more and more forms, means and kinds of influence in it became rather popular. As a result of active development of this phenom-enon and its study by a number of sciences, each of which gives it its own name, a host of synonymic terms have come to life, which, in its turn, produces terminological chaos and prevents further and more detailed treatment of this urgent issue. The article describes the more frequently used terms with the meaning "information war" both in Russian and in English. The urgency of the study of information wars is corroborated by the "Doctrine of Information Security of the Russian Federa-tion" and the reports of the United Nations Organization.
