Abstract: The current discourse analysis is based on the Western scientific tradition, takes little account of Eastern cultures and discourses, and restricts innovation. In this regard, some scholars have put forward innovative concepts in the field of Cultural Discourse Studies. Shi-Xu is one of the main representatives of this scientific direction. He develops a re-search paradigm aimed at the study of the modern Chinese discourse and taking into account its specific features. This arti-cle discusses the discourse analysis and study of cultural discourse in the interpretation of Shi-Xu. Special attention is paid to the research paradigm, which is focused on modern Chinese discourse and has Chinese philosophical, methodological and cultural foundations.
