Зарубежная судебная фонетика второй половины XX - начала XXI века

Abstract

The paper deals with the main issues of foreign forensic phonetics in the mid 20th - early 21st centuries. These issues include the question of the influence of age upon voice and the identification of age via listening to an audio record; the dependence of the reliability of voice identification on the sex of the listener and the ability to identify the speak-er's sex; the dependence of the quality of identification on the length of the audio text; the influence of the fact of the wit-ness's acquaintance with the voice analyzed during forensic examination; the ability to identify a person speaking a foreign language; the dependence of the quality of identification on the number of individual characteristics of the voice ("my broth-er's problem); the problem of intentional voice disguise (distortion) with the help of technical means, whisper, falsetto salization; the influence of alcohol, mental illness, dialectal features and a foreign language on the characteristics of speech; the ability to identify the voice after various periods of time after the initial presentation of the audio text. The issue of devel-opment of technical and software tools for speech identification forms a separate aspect of theoretical research and applied studies in modern forensic phonetics.

В статье рассматриваются основные проблемы судебной фонетики, находящиеся в центре внимания зарубежных исследователей во второй половине XX - начале XXI в.
