Abstract

The article is devoted to little-studied aspect of American history connected with the collapse of the first bipartisan system in the United States. The reasons of this phenomenon are considered, errors of federalist party during Anglo-American war of 1812-1814 (1815) are analyzed. The article talks about the confrontation between the Federalist and Republican parties at the turn of the century, examines the common features and differences between them in views on the economy, do-mestic and foreign policy. The author analyzes the features of the ideology of the Federalist party, which influenced their erroneous policy during the war. The rea-sons and origins of this war, its specific features that influenced the decline of the Federalist party are considered.

Статья посвящена малоизученному аспекту американской истории, связанному с распадом первой двухпартийной системы в США. Рассматриваются причины этого явления, анализируются ошибки федералистской партии в ходе англо-американской войны 1812-1814 (1815) гг. анализируется процесс противостояния федералистской и республиканской партии на рубеже веков, выявляются общие черты и различия между ними во взглядах на экономику, внутреннюю и внешнюю политику. Выявлены особенности идеологии партии федералистов, повлиявших на политику партии во время войны. Рассматриваются причины и истоки данной войны, ее специфические черты, повлиявшие на упадок федералистской партии.
