Title: Little leaf and snowdown: about new poems of Mikhail Yasnov
Authors: Barkovskaya, N. V.
Issue Date: 2017
Publisher: PU URAL STATE PEDAGOGICAL UNIV
Abstract: The article deals with peculiarities of the poetic world, the system of characters, and rhythmical techniques of expressiveness on the basis of a new collection of children's poems by Mikhail Yasnov. The poems depict the children's world and the closest environment of the child: family, nature (a tree under the window, garden, snow, spring, lawn) and, as always, Yasnov's poems abound in living beings (a dog, kitten, raven, gosling, etc.). With the help of the author, the child himself makes the surrounding reality kind, full of sympathy, adoration or compassion. The author believes that this fact renders the new poems by Yasnov a high educational potential because they form the active position of the child. The author makes a conclusion about the complex emotional atmosphere of the poems combining sadness and humor, birth and disappearance. The sharp eye is accompanied by the sensitive ear taking notice of the surrounding world, but the poems also contain references to archetypes. The article describes the genre preferences of the author, the role of neologisms, the functions of recorded sound, rhyme and little verses, and the techniques of contrast and alogism. Yasnov's creative works develop the child's kindness, compassion and aesthetic taste. The presented analysis can be useful for primary school teachers and parents.
