Abstract:	The article offers a view of the generic nature and specificity of one of Boris Ryzhyi's last and biggest texts - the poet's prosaic work known under the title The Rotterdam Diary. In the process of investigation, the article specifies the originality of this text of the “accumulating” type, absorbing the author's most important lyrical themes and motifs. It is concluded as a result that the text reveals a significant bilateral openness, as well as its kinship with the novelistic structure, the novel-essay and the lyrical novel in particular.
